The HxC/Flashfloppy support seems to be pretty straightforward:
FM-77AV40SX Support
Connect GOTEK to FM-7/77
FM77AV (model with 2DD) and FDD emulator (2D disk version)
That's all about internal connection of the device. If you want to connect it externally, it becomes a hard task.
In the following link, the procedure is explained in detail. Fortunately, the translator does a very good job:
Auxiliary storage connection
...and another one:
Connect the 5.25" FDD used in the FM-7 to the FM-77AV2
To connect an HxC or Gotek+FlashFloppy unit

Hi,
thx a lot
that will fill a lot of time to read and try to understand!
not sure what would be the pros and cons putting the HxC inside the box or outside ...
HxC or Gotek, which would work better on the FM77AV2?
Is the HxC able to simulate TWO drives at the same time, so only one device would be needed to have drives 3 and 4?
cheers!

Re: To connect an HxC or Gotek+FlashFloppy unit
Hi,
despite reading those links, I am not sure if it is mandatory to convert files to HFE format in both cases,
for HxC it seems a must, but is it needed on Gotek too?
Another point ... HxC with just a module can emulate two drives, but on FM77AVxx photos I see two Gotek,
substituting both drives, so it seems that a module is only able to work as a single drive
Any info would be highly appreciated
cheers!
